"I’m actually in a much better place now and that is down to the sessions we have had. Just vocalising my thoughts has helped enormously and forced me to not only reflect on, but also share what’s in my head."
"Having space for myself to think about my responses and behaviour, what triggers me and why, has been transformative."
"Talking about my relationship with my parents and their influence on my attachment style has given me a deeper understanding of how I tick."
" Caroline provides invaluable perspective and insights about oneself, it would not be an overstatement that she's a life-saver. 100% recommend."
"One thing I like with Caroline is how she always keeps professional while being friendly. She knows how to make you feel comfortable opening up to her to discuss difficult times you've experienced. She also puts clearer words on my feelings, and her advice have seemed very on point so far, helping me see with more clarity."
How do I know if I need counselling?
Counselling can help you to understand emotional disturbance, to change old habits, deal with personal or relational challenges, or to discover who you really are. You might seek counselling during tough times, because people close to you suggest it, or you may want to process and understand events in your life.
What happens in a counselling session?
Counselling sessions vary and your counsellor is skilled at listening and creating a safe space for you to talk about your concerns. You can talk about anything you want, like daily events, problems, emotions, thoughts, behaviours, dreams and memories.
Is counselling confidential?
Yes, counselling sessions are private,
but there are some exceptions, including (but not limited to) if there is risk of harm to yourself or to others, child and vulnerable adult protection or safeguarding or if there is a legal obligation to disclose
(such as acts of terrorism or money laundering).
Why do I need to attend weekly sessions?
Weekly sessions are the usual arrangement, allowing you to progress steadily toward your goals. Sometimes, if you and your counsellor agree it is helpful and they have availability, you might have more than one session per week.
How do I start counselling?
You can book an initial chat (free of charge) via the speech bubble or the Contact Caroline page, by email, or by phone.
How do I pay for my sessions?
Payment can be made digitally before the session or cash in person.
